RYA Race Officials National Conference – Technology Panel

On the last weekend of January Charles made his way up to the University of Birmingham for two great days of chat and discussion, sharing of ideas and experiences, and thoughts to the future of Sailing at the RYA Race Officials National Conference. He spoke about technology’s role in sailing at all levels, with the digital race course becoming an important part of race day management. From MarkSetBot robotic marks, to tracking and visualisation with GeoRacing and the ever improving start line technology from Vakaros, Velocitek and others, modern technology has lots to offer to improve racing, reduce delays, and improve safety.

Charles attended the conference with one of our MarkSetBots allowing many race officers and mark layers to see the kit up close and personal getting their hands on the MSB Commander app and understanding it’s true benefits.
