This past weekend saw the first round of the Sea Ventures Super Series [SVSS] contended by boats with IRC Ratings ranging from 1.026 to 1.039 all racing shorthanded [2-4 Crew]

SEAVENTURES SUPER SERIES LAUNCHES IN THE UK
In recent seasons numbers have dwindled for certain events across the UK – one fleet bucking this trend is the shorthanded division with the Double-Handed class of the Rolex Fastnet
The Solent Super Series is a winter series with a difference! The same amount of sailing as a ‘traditional’ seasonal series, condensed over fewer weekends, with an enhanced social scene.
The crew limit has been chosen to appeal to competitors who might not normally race a season series events, or those who don’t want to co-ordinate a larger crew ‘out of season ‘. The entry list is capped at 20 boats between an IRC TCC of 0.990 and 1.060 to keep racing close and competitive.

Round 1. 11th/12th October – Cowes
Round 2. 25th/26th October – Yarmouth
Round 3. 8th/9th November – Lymington
Round 4. 22nd/23rd November – Gosport
