Congratulations to Emirates Team New Zealand for their outstanding victory at the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup! Their performance was nothing short of incredible, and we are thrilled to have played a part in this prestigious event.
MarkSetBot had the honor of deploying 30 Bots to set the course boundary for this year’s America’s Cup. From lead up regattas in Vilanova i la Geltrú and Jeddah to the two month series of events in Barcelona, it was a monumental task that showcased the capabilities of our technology on one of the world’s biggest sailing stages.
The project required tremendous coordination, both on-site and remotely, and we are immensely proud of the outcome. This accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and hard work of a talented team. A huge thank you to the marshals, safety boat crews, Bot operators, and more for their incredible Bot work day in and day out. We would like to give a special shoutout to Pep Subirats, Natalia Via-Dufresne, Phil Salthouse, Pacs Quinonero, Jofre Rabadà, Rob Andrews, and SeaDis for their tremendous commitment to maintaining and promoting the Bots throughout the competition.
Our time in Barcelona was full of achievements. Being selected as a key technology system for the Americas Cup was an absolute milestone for MarkSetBot and affirms our position as a leader in sailing tech. We also launched our Version 5 Bot during the event. Our v5 Bots were used throughout the Preliminary, Youth, Women’s, and Final events, amounting to over 1,000 Bot days of seamless operation. A true testament to its strength and reliability!
With Emirates Team New Zealand already accepting a challenge for the 38th America’s Cup, we are hopeful that we’ll have the opportunity to contribute to this incredible event once again. For now, we’re celebrating the milestone and reflecting on the unforgettable experience of being part of the 37th America’s Cup. Stay tuned for what’s next!
