Our favourite races

The team here at Fourth Cape have sailed over 100,000 nautical miles and in that time have taken on some of the World’s premier offshore races, here our some memories from our favourites:

Fastnet Race

Mark “A favourite race of mine has to be the Rolex Fastnet Race, having now competed in five consecutive races, each one is memorable – whilst the course remains the same for every edition the unpredictable English weather always makes things interesting. I have very fond memories of the¬†accelerating down wind ‘sleigh ride’ from The Rock¬†(Fastnet Rock) back home to the finish line at the breakwater in Plymouth Sound.”

RORC Caribbean 600

Nick “Winning our class in the Caribbean 600 was for sure a highlight and a great victory for the Redshift Team – its one of my favourite courses as it has a bit of everything, warm conditions – great sights – sailing past the volcano at Montserrat is pretty cool whilst weaving around islands poses its own challenges.
